Adriana LaRocca is a photographer and collage artist based in New York. She began her photographic journey in 2017, by taking a beginners film photography course. A passion was formed, and she never put the camera down. She attended SUNY Purchase College in 2021-2024 and graduated with a BFA in photography. Prior to pursuing her career as a photographer at Purchase College, she was enrolled at Manhattanville University where she majored in English and Literature. During the beginning of her sophomore year at Manhattanville, she was sent home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While taking writing workshops and analyzing Shakespearean sonnets, she realized that her true passion lies in photography.
In 2021, she was enrolled at SUNY Purchase College where she was taught various photographic and artistic processes. Broadening her artistic arsenal by learning digital photography, non silver processes, studio photography, and even analog collage. Also in 2021, she founded her small business called “Rainy Days Are Okay” as a tribute to her late aunt. She sells various forms of her work both online and in person.
